The LA 716 provides 16 channels for switching resistive loads. Up to 650 W can be used per output channel.

Forced ventilated

Depending on the switching capacity and ambient temperature, the power output may require forced ventilation. For this purpose, an optional fan unit is available as an accessory (see accessories). For further details, see the manual.

Temperature monitoring

For monitoring the heat-sink temperature, there is an NTC thermistor on the heat sink. In the event of overheating, this temperature dependent resistor outputs an alarm to the higher-level control system.

Fuses

For each channel of the LA 716, a 5 A fusible link for protection of the power triacs is accessible externally. A safety cover is provided for protection against finger touch.

Diagnostic capability

Diagnostic functions are available as standard for detecting the following faults:

Triac circuit-breaker, high-resistance or fused junction
Channel fuse on module defective
External fault such as fuse rupture, break in radiation device or wire
