Особенности

The products are transferred from the incoming conveyor onto the packaging conveyor. The sheeting, printed or plain, is pushed underneath the products. A manipulator grips the sheeting and wraps it around the products as they move along the transport conveyor.

It is important that the wrapping process is synchronized with the transport conveyor. This also applies to the sheet feed and cutting process, which may even be coordinated with a printed marking.

The complete wrapping process depends on the highest dynamic response and optimum interaction between the drives. The use of servo drives with motion control significantly increases the flexibility and availability of the machines compared with mechanical cam disks, because of the improved set-up times, for example.

Область применения

Transport packaging and end packaging are produced during the wrapping process. The six-pack is the best known product of this process.

The short machine cycles require highly dynamic servo drives with low moments of inertia and short cycle times. The electrical interconnection between the drives substantially reduces mechanical equipment costs. A cam controller is used for high-speed I/O actuation, e.g. for cutting the sheet.
